Pompeius Army Box puts this great Roman general at the head of his army, as well as his sons, Pompeius Junion and Sextus Pompeius, along with the Republicâs outstanding hero Metellus Scipio, determined to defend the Roman State from Caesarâs ambitions⊠and in favor of their own! To accomplish these objectives, the experienced Pompeian commanders count on a plethora of Marioâs mules, antesignani âspecial forcesâ, and numerous conscripts to overwhelm the enemy, but also on allies harvested by the powerful gens Pompeii in Hispania, such as the Iberian scutati and the Hispanic Vernacular legion, ready to serve their patrons to the death. Scipio added to these hosts the Numidian infantry and elephants recruited in Africa -sometimes in very persuasive ways-, to crush anyone who dared to oppose them, no matter how powerful or how many victories they had won in battle.
âdescription from the publisher
