Medium: The Hand of Fate invites you to harness your psychic connection and find the word that bridges two cards. Say it together, at the very same moment. The stronger your mind meld, the greater your reward.
This standalone version adds new ways to sync minds and predict the future. Whether playing in a large group or facing Madame Fortuna in the new 2 player variant, the only right answer is what your partner is thinking. Best of all, this game can be combined with any other Medium title to explore limitless possibilities.
In Medium: The Hand of Fate, players take turns pairing up with the person on their left and attempting to find the single word that connects two word cards.
Each turn, you’ll:
• Play a card face-up in front of your partner, who plays a card next to yours.
• Together, count down: THREE… TWO… ONE… and say the connecting word—the Medium—at the exact same moment.
• Match on your first attempt and earn a high-value Mind Meld token. Miss? Your spoken words become the new clues for a second attempt, then a third.
When the Crystal Ball card surfaces, the round ends. The team with the highest combined score wins!
Optional modules—ESP cards and Prediction tokens—add extra twists: steal rival words, ban an opponent’s answer, or bet on your opponents’ fate with the Hand of Fate tokens
